I know that the official name has changed from seguro popular to something else but I do not remember the new name.
My question is: are permanent residents still allowed to join the seguro, see the doctors and get meds free of charge?
Not our case since we are naturalized Mexicans, just curious.

The new plan (as of 1/2/2020) is called INSABI. It seems that one doesn't have to be a citizen or even a resident to participate.
The obvious disclaimer is that this article is from January. I don't know how the past 6 months might have changed things.
