Reaching out here. Had 3 friends driving a Chevy Colorado z71 driving down to punta San Jose (the lighthouse) from Ensenada to surf and camp on Saturday April 27th. They were supposed to leave the next day Sunday the 28th to check into an air bnb near K38. They did not check in and we haven’t heard from them.

Any info or help with be greatly appreciated.

Their names are:
- Carter (5’9 160) early 30’s
- Callum (6’4 240) early 30’s
- Jake (6’2 205) early 30’s

Of note: Photos from the email are attached. I spoke with Decker on the phone, and he said he'll monitor this thread. I have both the tel# and an email address for Decker. fyi.

Edit to add: the info above was also posted to Talk Baja FB group at 2:26pm 5/1 by "Natalie Weirtz" with contact tel#'s for Natalie and Decker:

Questions:
1) Were they familiar with the area?
2) Did they have a flexible schedule?
3) Did they have any contact while in Mexico prior?

That area is fairly well traveled, if they had a mechanical issue, someone would have probably helped them out within a day I'm sure. Haven't been there in close to 10 years though, so no idea what its like anymore. Granted I stopped going to that area after someone going through my campsite at night.

"Reaching out to anyone who has seen my two sons . They have not contacted us since Saturday 27th April. They are travelling with another friend an American citizen . They were due to book into an Airbnb in Rosarito after there camping weekend but they did not show up. Callum is a type one diabetic so there is also a medical concern. Please contact me if you have seen them or know their whereabouts."

According to Debra Robinson, they did not have a flexible schedule. Says work commitments were missed on Monday this week, etc:

"They had an Airbnb booked in Rosarito that they did not book into. Callum had work commitments that he has missed which is very out of character."

OK yes, missing work and being diabetic, that's not a great scenario. Surprised there isn't anyone else coming through the woodwork who may have been in the area this weekend. Wife was just reading through the TB post as well.

Some of the local independent journalists are best source of news. This FB news source posted the story of the phone of one of the missing being found on a meth head in Maneadero, https://www.facebook.com/Patrulla.646

To the families and the friends,
We wish you solace and strength during this horrendous time. Although we aren’t able to fully comprehend what has happened in your life and the life of your friends, we are with you. We are here if there’s any small way to help. Your kids looked like great human beings. As a fellow surfer and human I offer you my sincere and absolute love and condolences.
