Well, wasn't that fun? a two hour trip to Baja and where the Baja Bugs had fun on both sides of the border.

The film tells the history of how the Meyers Manx was born and how the Baja Bug was born... then shows us Class 5, 5-1600, and 11 in action. The film follows a Class 11 team in the 2021 Baja 1000, 1,227 miles to La Paz.

Pretty cool but after about an hour of watching bugs I had enough. If you think about it the combination of an air-cooled rear mount engine makes for very capable offroad machines.

Indeed... plus they are very basic with a flat-pan underside (less to break).
I hope you go back to watch the second half, as the film follows a Class 11 team in the 2021 Baja 1000.

I clicked on the YouTube link in the second post, and it worked fine for me. There is a huge blank area below it though.

I don't use Facebook, so that first link wasn't available to me. I use windows 11 and Edge for my browser.

If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

Hi AK,
I gave both the direct YouTube link and (just below) also embedded the link with the Nomad tags that shows the movie 'billboard'. Even that has the YouTube name in the lower right corner, that you can click to watch on YouTube, instead of on Nomad.
Always feel free to message me if you need help or have questions. I was a bit occupied yesterday, hosting the Casa de Kier Post-Thanksgiving Day Food Fiesta. (A big thank you to BajaNomad for the great wines he shared)

For your information, Dave, the link is fine, but your embedded youtube does not work in any of the environments I tried it in (2 different platforms, 4 browsers). Just leaves a big blank space in your post.

XMB is still converting those embed codes to non-secure (HTTP) URL's within IFrames in an HTTPS environment, which is now blocked by most current default browser configurations.

Doug, are you able to fix this? It I assume it just involves adding an "S" at the appropriate point in the system code.

Yep. Done. Thx.

I was done after watching the opening credits. I like driving fast in dirt, but i sure am bored by watching videos of same.

I loved my bug. Also liked several other great light weight 2WDs that were fun on unpaved roads, like my saab 99 and datsun 510, and friends fiats.
A light weight old time 2wd can go many places with more style than a heavy 4wd.
